Personally, I expected this book to either build my confidence or to give me the necessary tools in learning how to control my anxiety in public situations.
I am a year-old male, I still continue to battle with the same issues that I had prior to reading this book. I'm not saying that this won't work for you, but just be aware that in order to follow the step-by-step guide provided you will need a "buddy". I highly recommend this book to anyone who is suffering from Paruresis. This book is the best place to start in your recovery to overcome Paruresis.
It guided my in the right direction to begin my recovery which has ultimately changed my life. Overcoming Paruresis is no easy task, it's not something that you can overcome in a day, a week or a month. If you stay focused and keep at it, you will overcome it. Since I've read this book I joined the International Paruresis Association, attended one on one therapy sessions with the author Steve Soifer and signed up for a 3 day workshop in Baltimore. This book gave me the confidence to face my fear and overcome Paruresis.

I did not do the exercise the book tells you to do so maybe it does really work but I am just not If you are having trouble with your bladder and have tried other things that did not work than this is the book for you.
